Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential for the Jaguar XK8/XKR 4.0l / 4.2l (X100 1996 to 2005) and the XK/XKR 4.2l (X150 2006 to 2009). A direct replacement for the standard open differential, this differential transforms your car’s performance. Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, this Quaife differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates, resulting in a much smoother operation. The Quaife differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. The Quaife differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree and never locks. There are many benefits over standard open or conventional differentials, including maximising traction and minimizing wheel spin and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication. The Quaife differential is proven in circuit racing, drag racing, rallying and road use. It is produced from Corus steel billets, CAD designed, CNC machined and then inspected to ISO 9001 standards.

The price for the LSD is £1,400 + VAT supplied on an exchange basis for both the X100 and X150, complete differential is £1,650 + VAT supplied for both the X100 and X150.

XK8 / XKR 4.0l & 4.2l Manual Gearbox Conversion

The 6-speed manual gearbox conversion offers greater driver control and enhances the driving experience, delivering more power to the rear wheels due to the lower drag of the manual transmission over the conventional automatic unit.  Typically losses of up to 25% with the conventional set up.  We have experienced losses of only 15% through the transmission delivering more bhp to the rear wheels.  We use a Tremec 6-speed gearbox with many bespoke parts including flywheel, pedal box and electronics package to make it all work.  Prices start from £7,500 + VAT.
